Now that the wedding(s) are over, I tried a few new things using my daughter's pictures. It's nice to have a little time just to "experiment" again! I love learning new things & this forum is such a fun place to learn!!!

Rachel
You have got to have one of the most photographable (not a word but it works for me) families I have ever seen. Your pictures are wonderful! I really enjoy looking at your gallery.

Wow - thanks for all of the compliments! It's nice to share pictures with people who seem to love this stuff as much as I do!!
Karen - I'm partial, but I do think we have some cute people in the fam! :) I'm the youngest of eleven children so there are lots of people!!!! & I'm always getting calls to take some pics (graduations, weddings, babies!) I love it, but then I get to playing with the pictures in elements & look at the clock & the day is gone!! Oh well - with two weddings over, I think I'm going to have some more time!!
Pauline - you are right, coming up with some creative ideas is the hard part! I made a scrapbook for my son & daughter-in-law that got married in January & now I have to start on my daughters to get it done by Christmas! & she has already informed me that hers better be as good, if not better, than her sister-in-laws! I'm always looking for new ways to display the pictures!!!
& Mel - the picture your daughter loves is my son's maltese, Bailey. She is soooooooo cute! & a handful!

Rachel here's an idea for you......I did it and then saw it in my newest book. Substitute the wedding cake toppers heads for the bride and groom's. My niece didn't have a traditional wedding or a wedding cake, she had a chocolate fountain instead. Of course there wasn't a topper on it, but when I was finished there was! It's quite cute.

Rachel--Here is one idea I did for my nephew's wedding. This is his new wife and her Dad during the father-daughter dance.
Pauline--A chocolate fountain? Never seen one, but I love the idea. How is this served--like fondue with cake bits?

Thanks for the ideas - I'm going to try them out!
Funny thing about our daughter's wedding - she opted for us to give her money to use on their new house & furniture rather than a reception that cost a fortune. So instead of serving lots of food we had the normal bride's cake/grooms cake & a 44" chocolate fountain - it was really pretty. We had tons of fresh pineapple, strawberries, creme puffs, pretzel rods, marshmallows, rice krispie treat bars, etc. around the fountain - it was a big hit!! By this point, I had to trust the photographer we hired to get pictures as I promised my family that I wouldn't spend my time with my camera & believe me that was a HARD PROMISE TO KEEP!!!! Hopefully I can share a picture in the near future!

Ward I had never seen one before either!! There are platters of fruit and squers (??----long wooden sticks -- geez why is that word so hard to spell?) and you run then under the fountain.
Rachel interesting that your daughter chose a chocolate fountain also. Must be the in thing. My niece didn't serve food either, just h'orderves (?)
Here's a picture of her licking the chocolate fountain!! The young nieces and nephew did this too. (I know not to hygenic but it was near the end).
I did a collage with all the kids having a lick.
The background was replaced and the wedding topper I put there myself using a picture of them. It was a fun piece to do. Oh and in case you notice the grooms bare feet........well they all had matching black flip flops!

Rachel- Your pictures and creations are wonderful!
One thing I've wanted to do with wedding pictures (someone I know has to get married first!) is to do the lyrics of their song in the background. Nancy- didn't you do this with your daughter's pics? A friend of a friend just got married and her father daughter song was Heartland's "I Loved Her First" and I think it would be a really meaningful picture with part of the song's lyrics in the background of a picture of them dancing.
