Linda, you've got to know that "Ignore this" never works on this forum :D :D :D Sometimes messages with that title get more activity than the others.

Glad you got your signature working, Linda.

Linda, you may be right there:o Great gallery, your slatted image inspired me to do mine.

Kim, thank you. It was your questions re. your breakout image that inspired me to have a go. I loved doing mine and have done another since. Love your orb - amazing colours

There is no way I could "ignore this". In the past we have had some marvellous conversations with "ignore this" threads and I could be missing out on another ;)

GiGi, I have been meaning to ask for days, where in Northwest Ohio are you from. Are you a Buckeye or One of those Ohioans who go the other way for the Wolverines? At the risk of offending my fellow members from Michigan, they'll probably never speak to me again after this, but GO Buckeyes.:D :D
Sorry but I was born and raised in central Ohio.:)

Kim,

Hiiiiii......I grew up in Dayton and moved to Amherst (30 miles west of Cleveland) approximately 25 years ago and have been here ever since.

Go Buckeyessss:D :D

GiGi, glad to hear your a Buckeye fan. I have heard that alot if people in the Toledo area tend to be Wolverine fans. Shame on them, :D

I have relatives in Sandusky. I love Cedar Point and the roller coaster. They just don't like me and my bad back and neck, :D

Another big learning curve--since I haven't made a dent in PSE yet or making myself use the Wacom !!!

Sherry ...

Building a website is something I have never tried but it looks awfully complicated ... have you taken a course or are you using books to work out how to do it ?

By the way I really like the colours :)

Wendy/Sherry- Nancy has also been working on her website- she's put it in her signature but I'm not sure anyone has noticed. She's done a really good job (no surprise)- here's the link to check it out:

Wendy,
No, I know nothing--I got the hosting site & domain name, then I used PSE to post the 1st gallery (now down) because the photos were too good of quality. I need to watermark & copyright them first.
I bought a cheapie program so I can start with their templates until I know a little more of what I'm doing. The designing part isn't that hard--it's all the new jargon that goes with the territory.

Nancy helped me get started--she inspired me to just do it!!

Hi Sherry ...

I hadn't noticed the website link in your signature either ... probably because I never get beyond that brilliant quote you have at the bottom.

Everytime I read it I just laugh ... and it is so very true. :)

Nancy and Sherry..........

You guys are amazing. I'd love to set up a small website but I haven't a clue even where to start.

Nancy.........this looks more than just a personal website, is this a commercial proposition for you?

EDIT......I see when I look more into your site, that no........that particular link is a commercial proposition for the Big Cat Rescue.

I'm just so impressed with your site Nancy.

Robyn & Wendy,
If I can do it--anyone can do it....
I know Nancy has been using Frontpage program. Although if I remember correctly-Ray said it is to be discontinued (maybe Brice). It costs too much for me--so I got Easy Web 6.

Robyn
September 1st, 2006, 05:43 PM
Sherry......

Excuse my ignorance......I know nothing about these programs. You mention Easy Web 6. Is that a stand alone program that you purchase/download??

jazzfisher
September 1st, 2006, 05:50 PM
Robyn,
Yes it is a stand alone program. http://www.v-com.com/product/Web_Easy_Pro_Home.html

There are many different ones out there--I just read the box & hoped!!
It was $54.00 (USD) at Office Depot.
Many of them include/or try to sell you their website hosting package and domain. But you can shop around the web til you see a deal that you like. Nancy turned me on to www.50mgs.com (http://www.50mgs.com) (don't forget the s). I had already been looking but hadn't found them yet, but they seemed to have one of the best deals.
