What a great shot!! :D I would love to know what effect you used on the edges??

Oh what a pretty effect ... and love the photo.

I remember seeing some grayscale masks that were sort of similar to the edges ... I couldn't find the ones I saw originally but I did find these:

I checked out that link Wendy gave. That border looks like it may be "sc-edge038" which is the 2nd border on page 4.

Yes it does! I think I would like to try but I have no idea where to put them??? Save target as ???:confused:

Kimi, "Save image as" into whatever folder you wish. To get that effect, you have to invert the colors (Ctrl I) and set blend mode to Screen, but you can also leave some as they are and set to Multiply, then change the color of the border with colorize. That's a really snazzy technique she describes to get the image and border the same size. What a find!

Hi ...

I just checked my downloads folder and those are indeed the ones I originally downloaded. There were loads to download and I ended up going through them all but only keeping a few special ones :)

Ummm ... now I wonder why I only used them a couple of times on Trola's image they just look so good. :)

Wendy, was that your image? It's lovely. But then, so is all your work. :) Observe use of smiley. I'm slow but steady.

The image in the first message is the one that Trola did ... and it is just lovely.

We have just been seeking out grayscale masks that give a similar edge effect :)

I use Pixal Creator 'Sloppy Borders' I just stack up til I like what I see. I tend to have my favorites
