Photo Browser Not Showing All Photos

HI -

My Adobe Elements 3 photo browser is not showing thumbnails of all photos. Some of the photos show up as a square, grey box with an hourglass inside it. Some tif files and psd files will show up, and other tif and psd files will show as the grey box with an hourglass inside it. Some of the files are large files - 125 mb. Others are 25 mb or smaller. But other large files and 25 mb files do show up.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
