I'm back from the Grand Canyon (and Vegas)! What a wonderful week of vacation (holidays)!!! My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary and totally enjoyed ourselves! I'm still sorting and editing the hundreds of pictures we took, but I've posted a couple of pics in my gallery to show how beautiful sunset at the Grand Canyon is. I still need to work on these and the other pics, but I wanted to let you all know I'm back! I missed you all!!!!!!!

Those are so awesome! I love the panorama one and the way the light varies so much in the scene. Nice exposure on that.

Thank you all for your kind comments! I will post more photos as soon as I get time to work on them.
Colleen -- I hope your daughter has a great time there on her honeymoon. Tell her to take the time to see the sites and see a couple shows in Vegas. Don't spend time drinking and gambling the time away - such a waste when there is so much more to do and see.
Bob - The original idea was to ride the bike there, but time just didn't allow it. We flew first class (first time ever doing that - it was great) to Vegas and then rented a convertable. The only problem was - it was 107 to 109F most of the time we were there (except at the canyon, where it was a little more reasonable), so we kept the top up and used the air conditioner. The only time it cooled down was when an electrical storm came through (at the canyon). Then it would cool down to 60F. But it would flash flood and lightening like crazy. That only happened a few times for short durations. I guess it's that time of year.
Still, it was magnificant the majority of the time (even if it was hot), and we had a wonderful time.

Those Grand Canyon pictures are awesome! We haven't been there for 20 years and it makes me want to go back! Especially now that I have a much better camera to take those pictures with! I might have used an instamatic back then!
