View Full Version : Tis the Season (for sunsets)

Since sunsets seem to be the image of choice a lot these days...

...here's another I took back in July, this one at South Beach, in Oregon. Some of the water detail is a bit lost and "smudgey", but I liked how the clouds and sun rays turned out.

I just love photos of sunsets and sunrises, they have something mystic about them (the good ones that is ;) )

Oh, that is really beautiful! Before taking pics of the sunsets, I never saw all of the colors there, with just my eyes.

Mike, nice sunset. I too love sunsets. The one with the kids silhoutted is beautiful too.

Terry, it's interesting that you noticed the crop. I spent a bit of time on that. Here is the original, as it came out of the camera.

I liked some of the patterns in the sand, and played around with ways of keeping a lot of it in there, but ultimately decided it was just too much sand, and it was taking away from the sunset, which was the main focus of the image. I also thought the person walking on the beach on the far right was too distracting.
