Please help me.

I have a Kodak Z700 camera.

The camera will not communicate with computer.

I've tried on two different computers, no luck.

I'm sure the communication port on computer is correct.

I've reinstalled the software.

The computer sayes the camera is not connected.

I have a 2nd camera, CASIO works just fine.

Is there some setting on camera I should check?

Any help would be appreciated.

I took a quick look on the Net for this camera and it seems pretty straight forward. I did find a troubleshooting site that offered this advice for transferring problems. I put the link at the bottom if this does not fix the problem.

Our latest version of EasyShare software should resolve this problem. Do the following to verify that you have the latest version of EasyShare software installed on the computer:
Start EasyShare software.
From the menu bar, select Help > About Kodak EasyShare software.
Check that you have one of the following versions of software installed on the computer:
Version 5.1 or later for a Windows operating system
Version 5.1 or later for a Macintosh operating system
If you do not have the correct version of software installed on the computer, visit the Downloads and Software Upgrades (http://www.kodak.com/go/downloads) Web page and download the latest version of EasyShare software. Follow the on-screen instructions.NOTE: If you are using a high-speed Internet connection, the download takes approximately 5 minutes. However, if you are using a dial-up connection, the download takes approximately 50 minutes. As an installation alternative, consider purchasing an EasyShare software CD from the KODAK Online Store.
