How do I make the canvas of my "creation" (for a logo-type thing) transparent. When I save it for the web, the canvas is white. :(

Thanks a bunch as always!
Jules

I think you have to save it as a gif file to get a transparent background. Give it a try.

Hi Jules,
I don't believe .jpg supports transparency, whereas .psd does. So when you save for web, it's turning into a .jpg, and losing the transparency. I could be wrong about this . . . anyone else?

Arrggghh! What a dummy I was! Yes, you are exactly right!

Thanks so much, Frank! And thanks for the very fast reply!

Alas, this needs to be saved as a jpg. Saving as a gif wasn't good enough quality; although the background was transparent. <sigh> I posted a new question about canvas coloring.

Thanks Linda and Frank!

Jules,

What about saving as a .png file?
