I'm happy with the end result, although I'm sure it could be further enhanced........I couldn't figure out how to get a deeper bevel on the inner portion of the image. Can anyone tell me where I went wrong there??:)

Looks good to me. :)

You can change the bevel size by clicking on the little "f" on the layer in the layers pallet that you applied the bevel to.
That will bring up a box with some sliders. Depending on what effect you are using, all or one will be available.

Hope this is what you were after.

Wendy.........You know me, kind of a slopping around technique most times.

I applied a kaleidescope filter to the background, then lowered the opacity a little. Then I think I went back to one of your tutorials to complete the affect..........Raising an Image from the background??:o

Thanks for all your help.:)

Thank you so much.
Has made my day feel like it was all worth it. Some days I struggle so and can't come up with a finished image that I'm happy with. This one has made me smile.:)

You have no idea just how wonderful it feels to me. I lurk in this forum day in and day out. I surf the galleries, read the threads and wish I could achieve some of the results that others share around here. Sometimes I go for it, and end up disgusted because just nothing works out like I expect it to, and then along comes a day like today and I couldn't feel more puffed-up..:D:D:D

I LOVE THIS PLACE AND ALL THE PEOPLE IN IT!

Mary,

I guess you know that I am one of your fans and continue to impressed my the development of your skillls. That picture is absolutely lovely. The detail on the flower is striking and complimented by the bevel and background effect.

I think that one of your greatest assets is that you explore and in exploring you learn and go beyond your expectations.

Keep up the good work.

Those are the BEST days. :)

Some days you spend hours on a tut and just never get it. Other days you can almost guess the next step. As Mr. Kelby would say ..sweeet.:D

Where do I find the kaleidescope filter? [PSE4]

The plug in was from the Mehdi site.

Mary that is so pretty! Your second one isa very nice effect but I think the background is overwhelming the photo, maybe if the photo was made a bit bigger it would balance it.

Thanks Wendy...........and thanks for helping those with the plug in questions, I wasn't any help there.

I tried to make an adjustment to the second one, I think I like it better.
Any more suggestions??:)
