Breakout Border Effect

I have been following the tutorial step by step, but when it gets to selecting the "sheet" by using control and clicking one - it give me a square bounding box and does not select the cut out sheet. (Does that make sense?)

I have tried it a dozen times and always get stuck at that point. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? It otherwise seems to be going quite well.

Hi Jane ...

Just go to the layers palette ... and Control Click (Mac Command Click) on the thumbnail itself.

That should bring up the selection for you :)

This is my first attempt at it - something just isn't quite right with it... guess I will just have to fuss with it some more. :)

Oh you have made a great job of that !! ... well done :)

The second version looks better ... if you look at your image the tray is level so that implies that the photograph is not as stood up. Your new shadow is right for that :)

You must be a subscriber and you will find all kinds of neat tutorials and videos in the "Subscriber Area". It's definitely well worth it.;)

Hi Jules ...

As Litespeed said its in the Subscriber area ... Its in the Videos section. There are a lot in there so if you have difficulty finding it they are in date order and this one is dated the 26th August 2005.
