I have put two new images into my gallery. We went to the Nannup Tulip Festival on Wednesday and I have made the images using photos I took that day. Here in Western Australia, growing tulips is not an easy task - the bulbs HAVE to be lifted and put into "cold storage" so they get a chill factor
Any criticism is welcome.

Beautiful layout! Wish I was visiting Australia to see it in person. You really a good job. Someday I'll maybe be able to do something like that.

Wendy,
Thanks. The photo with the "fence" in it, actually has a mirror behind the tulips and I did think about using it for the challenge.

Colleen,
Glad you like it. You will amaze yourself within a couple of months and be able to do almost anything you can visualise.

Nita,
Pleased you like it. The tulips were planted in planter boxes in the street and were absolutely beautiful.

Such beautiful tulips! And I like the background that you've chosen for the main picture in your gallery.
Also see some decorated gourds, I think. Very nice, and such a pretty place to visit.

Betty,
Glad you liked it. The background was done using Kim(i)'s texturiser and then a very, very large tree brush (green).

Very nice and colourful Karen. You seem to have heaps of 'events' in your part of Aust. .........there always seems to be something on. :) We have a huge commercial tulip farm here in the NW of Tassie, I'm hoping to go armed with camera, but I don't think they are in bloom just yet.

Karen- although I'll miss the fact that our blooming season is soon over, I remember really enjoying all the fauna and flora you shared last year, so I hope this is just the start!

Robyn,
Glad you liked them. I only have a point-and-shoot camera and a lot of the time I was holding the stem of the flower so I could get the angle I wanted. Please let us see "your" tulips when you have some.

Karen, really nice pieces of work and the subjects are so different from one another. The tulips have to be my favorite; you depicted so many different varieties! Beautiful!
