Hi all,
This question really isn't about scrapbooking but you folks do a lot of cutting and pasting. I saw a panoramic photo made of strips cut from the photos that made up the pano. The strips were about 2" wide and pasted together to make a bigger pano. O.K. here come the question..... What king of paste or glue do you use so as not to ruin the photo strips?

I'm assuming you mean digitally, right? And if so, Elements can "stitch" together your photos. (File>New>Photomerge Panorama). The help function of Elements really does a good job of explaining how to use it. It's in Help under the title of Stitch Together a Photomerge Panorama.

If for some reason you aren't able to get to your help (I know on some computers the PSE Helps don't run too well) let us know, and maybe I, or someone else, can copy and paste the instructions into a message for you.

Let us know!

Chas,

If you are talking real photos, not digital ones, there are acid free glues and adhesives that you can use to do such things. Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and any other scrapbooking store with have them in their scrapbooking section. Even Walmart and Target carry stuff. The main thing is for it to be acid and lignen free.

Trish,
Thanks for the information on glues and pastes. I know about Scotch photo tape but it won't work for the project I wish to do.

Linda,
This is going to be a non-digital project. Well, the individual photos are digital but the resultant longer than usual panoramic won't be.

Now I get it, Chas. Glad Trish was on board and gave you an answer to your inquiry :)

Gary,
I don't know what it is either but wwhat I do know is.....you don't want it anywhere near your photos. Fine art photo paper is acid and lignen free. Lignen and acid probably have adverse effects on the archival ability of a photo.

From http://www.squidoo.com/Scrapbooking_101_Tips/

To increase the preservation of your scrapbook and your treasures, look for albums with acid free, lignin free pages (and Acid Free Refill Pages). Both acid and lignin accelerate photo fading and general deterioration. Lignin is a chemical found naturally in the cell walls of plants. If the lignin is not removed in the paper manufacturing process, the chemical will cause the paper product to gradually yellow and crumble. Lignin and acid free products come in virtually any color and texture.
