That is beautiful. I had to do a double-take as the bottom edge appears to just fade into the background, but then saw the slight shadow and realized what a great job you did with choosing the color for the background. That should definitely be framed and hanging on the wall. It's perfect!

Thank you all so much! Have only been lurking around a bit as have had summer houseguests.

Nancy--I put a gradient on the sea-textured background, using the bottom & top colors.

I thank Wendy for finally drumming the process of creating the Gaussian blur drop shadow layer underneath each layer of the picture into my head! So for this one I chose a bluish shadow fill.

Thank you, Colleen! I especially like the one in your gallery that you did for your "across the street" neighbors in Maine. And, of course, I'm envious of your wildlife photo ops! What fun to actually be there to see that moose drinking water like that!
