Just returned from vacation with around 500 photos. most are decent, but about 20% could use the lighting adjusted. What is the most efficient way of doing this in elements? I want to post them on line for safety and because family wants to see them. I dont want them to see them in this condition. Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris ...
Are the images too dark or too light ?
This is how I tend to do them:
Duplicate the layer then set the mode to screen (if they are too dark) or multiply (if they are too light)
Then just adjust the opacity of the duplicate layer until they look OK.
Often doing that is enough to rescue the images :)

That is something I will use to Wendy on the pics from the zoo that were taken behind glass. One question, I don't see "screen" under mode after duplicating the layer.

Thanks Wendy,
Is there any way that I could do more than one at a time? I have groups that seem to have the same problem. Is there any way that I could make the ajustment with layers and drag it to multiple photos?

Hi Bob ...
When you create the new layer go to the layers palette and you will see a box at the top, it will say normal. You change the blend mode of a layer in there :)

Hi Chris ...
It really depends on the images ... you may be able to do a Levels adjustment layer and then drag it onto the rest of the images.
Only thing is I'm not too keen on using Levels as I don't think its the best way to deal with these sort of images ... there isn't a way to automate the other method (well unless you use Photoshop) ..

What about the process multiple images under file?

Hi Chris ...
Process multiple images only allows you to use the Quick Fix commands plus resize and rename the images etc.
It may work on your images so its worth trying ... Quick Fix can be a little unpredictable but sometimes it does work well. :)
