I am new to digiscrapping and am trying to tackle mastering my photography skills, PSE 4.0 and learning to digiscrap, all in one fail swoop. I have taken a few classes but I feel as if I am just scratching the tip of the iceberg and it is exciting! I would love to learn how to create pages that are similar to a few I saw in the awards gallery where the background was primarily a photo.... Do you have any suggestions on where I can find info or a tutorial as to how to create this type of page? Thatnks in advance!

Hi Shannon!

Welcome to the forum. You'll find a lot of help right here. In the learning center, there are a few free tutorials- one on making a simple scrapbook page- that will help you get started.

Subscribing here is also a good way to learn. There are over 100 tutorials (some video and some written) on a variety of PSE topics, including scrapbooking and other basic techniques. There's generally two new tutorials every week, but when you first join, you have a lot to catch up on!

Several people have taken the layers class offered through this site. It's a great introduction to PSE.

I'm sure this sounds like a commercial, but I have genuinely found a lot of help here and learned a lot!

And, feel free to ask questions here- there's generally always someone on who can help.

Good luck and hope to see some of your work!

Hi Shannon ...

I agree with everything Kay says :) ... it really is well worth subscribing. You get the newsletter, which is more like a magazine and access to the subscriber area.

... the number of tutorials in there has increased a lot and its now around 200

So its great value for money ...
