I download the trial version of CS2 after reading the long thread with the new offer of cs2. It also came with Adobe Bridge and Image ready. Can someone give me a brief description on what those two programs are for?

Thanks
Brent

Hi Brent ...

Bridge is sort of like a filebrowser on steroids :) ... Take a look at this:

http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/vector/movie_bridge.html

... and here is more info about Image Ready:

http://www.humboldt.edu/~storage/basics/image_ready.html

Hope this helps :)

As Wendy said, Brdige is like the file browser, but much more robust. It's also slower loading because it doesn't maintain the DB the same way organizer does. That is, it doesn't store copies of your image.

Imageready is handy for manipulating graphics for the web.

Hi Randy ...

No its not just for camera raw ... its actually really good. :)

You can use it as a stand alone browser and open most sorts of files using it ... even things like software and PDF's. So its useful for a lot more than images :)

I have just watched all the video's on the website you recomnded. I have a much better idea on how bridge works( I like the video's, but must admit I have grown used to Matt and Dave's videos and prefer them). I am very suprised on how much elements and cs2 are alike. I know there are many differences, but still...some of it review from the subscriber videos. BTW, does CS2 switch from French to English versions? Or do they sell different languages for different countries? Just curious....was talking with a French counterpart about cs2.

Hi ...

Glad that the Video helped :)

CS2 doesn''t switch languages there are different versions for each language ... one problem is that not all of the add ons work with other language versions :)
