Maybe someone can help out with this question. I use Elements 4.0. I take many pictures and load into elements, edit them and categorize them. I am curious as to whether it is possible to slide the photo from elements right into the ebay listing form. I have done this already and what I get is a gigantic picture which takes up the whole screen and it must be moved around with the scroll bars to be seen.. What I am doing is to save the edited photos to a file on my desktop called ebay-photos and sliding them into the listing form from there and that works perfectly, HOWEVER, the photos can get out of hand as far as moving them around and elements not knowing where to find the photo and if I delete photos in a picture folder, they don't come out of the elements catalogue.. I would like to simply work out of elements to load the photos, edit them, move them to ebay and delete them in elements when the item has sold.. Can anyone please help answer this question..

Thanks very much John

John,

Are you saving your photos "for the web"? If not, try File > Save for Web. When the save for web box opens, change the pixel size (1) making the longest side 700 and making sure the constrain proportions box is ticked and click apply; go to the top half of that area (2) and make sure you are saving as a JPEG with a low file. Hope this helps you.

WingmanJoh,

Karen has posted a helpful answer on how to reduce the size of your pictures.

As for sending pictures straight out of Elements to Ebay, I don't think this is possible. However, I am not an Ebay posting expert. You mention an Ebay listing form-I don't know of a way to link from Elements directly to this. Emailing pictures straight from Elements or using the Kodak website are the only ways I know of sending data directly from Elements.

I also think your Elements problems with photos being moved and deleted is likely happening if you are moving/deleting outside of Elements. The catalog is a MS Access database so making changes outside of Elements means this database does not get updated.

Since you write the pictures to a seperate folder, it would be easy to delete from within Organizer. When you are ready to delete them, highlight the pictures you want to delete and then Delete From Catalog. You should get a popup asking if you want to delete from hard disk. Answering Yes will remove them from both places.
