New with photoshop Elements. Just started Layers Training and lost and confused already. After downloading "Day 1 lesson" watching the lesson video everything looked simple. But on my side of walking step by step through the lesson isn't as simple as the video. I have all the images at the bottom of the screen and every time I click onto an image it will appear in the screen and it will show a layer with the image in it. When I click and hold the ctrl and drag the next image onto the first image it will show the new image on the screen and it will show that layer only in the layer palette. I can't move the top image over to add the second image into the first background image. It tells me it can't do that because it is locked. But on the video lesson his is locked also. In the video it shows the images as if they were in windows of their own. When I move an image it doesn't show anything but the image. There is no information around the image as it is in the video. The images in the video shows 'Day01 Start.psd @ 50% (Layer1, RGB/8'. My images don't show any of this. What am I missing or not doing from the video? How do I get my images to move like they do in the video?

Hi DRM ...
... and welcome to the forum :)
Do Window>Images>Cascade ... then you should be able to move your images around so that you can see more than one :) You should then be able to drag from one to the other ..

Hello DRM,
Welcome to the forum. The more you learn, the easier it gets, so hang in there and continue to ask questions when you get stuck.

DRM - welcome to the forum. I would love to know how many times your question has been asked - me included. Hope you got it working. I still have to think about it when I start a tutorial using more than one image.
It will get easier though as Karen said.

Thanks Wendy : :)
That was a big help. I figured it would be something too simple to figure out. The video lesson doesn't want to tell you the simple things. Now I need some glue to attach my hair back to my head. LOL
