Does anyone know of a way of creating ripples or waves in Elements? Think of the ripples/waves/wake that a boat would create going through smooth water.
Thanks

There is a plug-in that does ripples from redfield. I think it will do what you want. It can be downloaded here (http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/water-ripples-plug-in/rpwaterripples.html) or here (http://redfieldplugins.com/filterWaterRipples.htm) for free.

I'm somewhat pathetic at this. I have downloaded it, it is in my plug-ins folder in Elements, but where to i go from here to get it to work?

It should be at the bottom of your list of filters:

If you have already installed it, just click on filter and scroll down the list until you see Redfield.:)

Does the Ripples Plug in work on a Mac?
Nope... it's an exe file. I can offer a quick tutorial on how to make one in PSE if you'd like.
