I was so excited when Matt showed the magic extractor in the 4th layers class! I had know idea extracting could be that easy. I figured any item that one wanted to extract had to be done with the tools in the tool bin. Just blows my mind all the short cuts I'm learning.

I was unable to do the shadow to finish up the photo in tonights class. For some reason the brush tool only wants to paint white. The paint bucket works just fine, just can't get the brush tool to do any color but white. Also, the brushes don't seem to be the same brushes. Sensitivity, width, etc. Any ideas??

Try clicking the letter "D" on your keyboard and that will make your foreground color black, and your background color white. When you want to reverse the colors, just click the "X" key.

Are you familiar with how to pick colors for the color picker box?

Peggy,

Matt is probably using a tablet and that makes the brushes look slightly different.
