Tonight we watched “Sea world 2006” created by me. It worked flawlessly, complete with music, fade-in, fade-out, pan and zooms, and titles. The family was very impressed. My only problem is burning the disc with Nero 6—I cannot do it. In the “In A Snap” book is says on pg. 379 “To produce a DVD, use the software that came with your DVD burner or your system to burn the two subfolders and all their contents to a disc.” I cannot do it. I tried and tried. Burning to the DVD from PE2.0 worked great. I was able to burn the movie to my hard drive (the two folders), but couldn’t get it from the hard drive to the DVD using Nero. HELP

Why not burn it straight to DVD from PE 2?

wagonwheel,
I have Nero OEM (up to about 6.6 with updates) that came with my drives.
Nero: Burning "Burn to Folder" Folder from Premiere Elements 2.0
Nero Start Smart
Burn Image to Disc (NOT CREATE DATA DISC)
DVD Video Files
Then find the folder from Burn to Folder in Premiere Elements 2.0.
When you find the folder it has two folders "Open DVD" and VIDEO_TS. It is the VIDEO_TS folder with all its contents that you want. So highlight the VIDEO_TS folder, click ADD. You will see about 5 files being added from the VIDEO_TS. Click FINISH.
Next, follow the messages and, if you have more than one burner, be sure you have the right burner in Current Recorder space.
Burn.
If you have Nero Express
Go DVD Video Files and take it from there.
Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Skstarkiller: I am not sure why burning a DVD using software other than PE would be preferred. I am just following the directions from the “In A Snap” book written by Chuck Engels. Does anyone have the answer?
ATR: I followed your directions—SUCCESS! Thank you so much for your help. How much power a little bit of information can have never ceases to amaze me. Again, thank you for your help.
