Just download the QT Player and install it -- should fix things nicely.

You need to select the right plug-in for the file you're trying to view.

What version of Quicktime do you already have? To get that information, you can open the Quicktime program that you have, go to Help Menu and click on "about..."

When you try to play your file and you get the message that takes you to the Quicktime page, what does the message say that you need?

When you get to the Apple download page, the latest free download is Quicktime version 7.1 that is for Windows 2000/XP. Do you have Windows or Mac?

Schnup,

You may want to start by simply updating the player. I had the same issue yesterday and this resolved it for me.

Try this; On the windows desktop Click Start>All Programs>Quicktime>Quicktime Updater.

Shnupita :

What is the file you're trying to view with Quicktime? Either post its entire name and extension or the full web site address (URL).
