I was wondering if it was possible to make cards (holiday, baby announcement, etc) using PSE4...and have more than one picture on the card
an example website...www.metrobabycards.com

Thanks for any input!!!

Sure you can. You can put as many as will fit on your canvas. When my son was born, I designed a 4x6 card in PS and then uploaded the jpg to Costco.com and got 20 pics for $.17 each in less than an hour.

Welcome to the forum Tammy! Creating cards like that would be an easy task. You might find similar ones in the galleries here.

If you'd like I could upload the one I did and you could use it as a template

Tammy - I buy packages of blank cards at the craft store, then print up my finished product to fit the front. I attach them with photo mounting squares. Then I write personal messages inside the cards. I feel guilty buying pre-made cards any more, because it feels so much more personal to make a small collage, or print an important picture with a little text on it.

Now my friends and family look forward to the greeting cards as much as the gifts I give them!!

Phil----That would be fabulous! Thank you! Another member responded and said there was a past issue (Volume 3 No. 2) that had specific instructions on how to do this..but I am still waiting to hear if I can order it.

Ok... I've uploaded two examples of baby announcements I've done. I changed the names and the picture to protect the innocent. The baby photo I used is a stock photo.

I uploaded them to one of my websites (the files are pretty big) They are 4x6 psd files @ 300dpi (just right for printing).

There is a boy one and a girl one. Feedback is appreciated. The link is here (http://skstarkiller.com/downloads.htm).

Phil:

Ah, another costco person...gotta love costco!

I made my daughters shower invitations 4 x 6, but couldn't find envelopes locally for that size (didn't have time to get them on the net), so I cut some card stock to glue the 4 x 6's to....They turned out great....:o in my opinion! I plan on posting it in my gallery after the shower later this month.

Those are great announcements Phil!

Phil---Those look great...just like the ones on the website people charge a ton for! How did you get the blocks background for the girl picture?
I was able to take your model and learn how to make them on my own now...except for designing a background.
Thanks a ton!

I made it using the custom shape tool. I would make a rounded rectangle, simplify the layer then control + click ther thumbnail. The Select>contract 10px and delete. I then moved them around, etc. I then merged the boxes layers and made them a custom shape in PS CS2.
