how do i outline my text?

i really need to know how to outline my text because i'm getting VERY tired of outling each letter with the pencil :mad:

... and welcome to the forum :)

Try this ...

Go to the layers palette and Control Click on the text layer (Mac Command Click)
You will now get the marching ants around your text
Create a new layer above your text .. Layer>New>Layer
Then do Edit>Stroke ... choose your colour and pixel size
Click on OK ... deselect (Select>Deselect) ...

... and there you go :)

hold down the ctrl button and click on your text layer thumbnail. This will select your text. Then create a new layer and go Edit>stroke(ouitline) and voila..

Funny - I just needed to do that today. After I had my text layer I went into layer styles and found something I liked - mine was chrome with an outline on it. I KNOW someone will come along and tell you exactly what to do soon.
