Hi all! I need some help with something that I'm sure is so simple, but I just can't figure out! I cannot get the layers to layer on top of each other. Whenever I move a pic, it changes to be the background. So frustrating! Please HELP! Thank you!!!

Hi ...

... and welcome to the forum :)

Are you trying to drag one image into another ?? If so then open up both images, then do Window>Images>Cascade and you should now be able to see part of both images. Select the move tool click on one image and drag it into the other.

Now go to the layers palette and you should see both images in there :)

Welcome to the forum. Don't think of yourself as dumb - PSE is very confusing when you first start using it but the more you use it, the more you understand the whys and hows. Before you know it you will wonder why you had so much trouble :D

Hi

Welcome to the forums. :)

This seems to be something that catches most people up when they first try it. Give Wendys suggestion a try and see how that works.

If all else fails try it the long way round ..

Open the image that you want to add to the other and do

Select>All
Edit>Copy

Open the image you want to add it too ... and do

Edit>Paste
