Designing Card Templates

I'm attempting to do some cards for the Holiday season, designing my own from scratch instead of sending my photos off to Wlamrt or somewhere boring with a little snowman on them, LOL.

I found some cool ideas online to get me started. Now I'm trying to figure out excatly how the heck to do them. I hope this doesn't sound dumb, because I've come so far and learned so much on PSE4 now that I feel like I could probably figure it out...but how would I go about adding lines, circles, and all shapes to my template?

I see the Cookie Cutter Tools, I'm figuring maybe I could research using those, I've never used them before. Okay, I just figured out the lines, that's super simple...

Aren't there more shapes available somewhere for download?

Hi ...

If you go to the Subscriber Area>Tutorials you will see a whole series of cards I did for last Christmas. There are several different varieties and not a snowman in sight ... although there is also a tutorial on how to make snow :)
