keeping photo bin open

Lately I have been working with several photos at a time and have them open in the photo bin. But I cannot seem to make the photo bin stay open so I can see the pictures. Has this always been the way or is something wrong with my system.. It drives me crazy when I try to drag and drop a picture into the photobin and it disappears.

Any advise or suggestions.

You need to go into EDITOR -- then choose EDIT>PREFERENCES>GENERAL and in the 2nd row bottom you'll find an option for AUTOHIDE PHOTOBIN, make sure to remove the check mark and that should solve your problem.
