I wasn't having any luck with any of the methods suggested before so I bought the full version of Quicktime 7 Pro for Windows thinking that would solve my problems.
I still cannot view the video tutorials when I play them back. I can now save them from the website no problem but all I get when I play them back is sound and no video
This is getting very frustrating!!!!!!!!
Can anyone suggest a fix?
Please

Are you trying to save a video from the subscriber area or one of the lesson videos??
The lessons are made NOT to be saved.
I have saved some of the subscriber videos with no problems. The only thing I have to do is watch them first.

I'm trying to save the video tutorials from the subscriber area so I can play them while I work in photoshop without having to go online.
I pick a video tutorial, let it load completely, let it play right through, then right click on it and Save as Quicktime Movie into a folder on the desktop. When I playback the video, all I have is sound with no video
So far I have uninstalled Quicktime 7.1 and downloaded it again three times, always with antivirus turned off (as they recommend). I then use the product key to activate the Pro version.
When I first started using the video tutorials, I used to save them the hard way by going into Temp Internet Files, etc then all of a sudden that stopped working so I decided to buy the Pro version to fix that once and for all.
So far I have spent $42 Can. for absolutely nothing.

Seems to me that I recall others saying that they could no longer save the videos with Quicktime Pro.
Have you tried retrieving the videos from your "Temporary Internet Files" folder. They do download there and can be copied and pasted to the directory of your choice on your hard drive. They can be tricky to find because there are so many files there. Some have suggested emptying the folder just prior to downloading the video. I've had good success sorting the files by size and forcing the large one's to the top of the list. See image.

Hi,
I seem to remember that when I first tried to watch a video from the subscriber area I had to download a file, I'm not certain what it was - something X - I think.
Have you done the same?
Kev.
Clutching at straws, maybe.

I think you may be referring to Direct-X which I think is a codec for certain compressed video formats. I do have that installed. Maybe I'll try again to copy from the Temp files noe that I have the Pro version
Thanks
