File Location

This is my second post on files which may seem pesky but, your answers are really a big help. In the next life I'll volunteer to reply to such posts as gratitude.

Where does the downloader put photos? When I click on the properties tab the "My Pictures" folder shows "0" kilobytes used, and when deleted altogether doesn't seem to affect what appears in the "Organizer" window. I've set up a custom location on the D: drive for photos, but this doesn't appear to be the place PSE goes to retrieve photos either [?!].

The answer is probably staring me in the face and I just can't see it. Would someone give me the basic info how PSE handles files? The Adobe manual is elliptical on the subject. I am in your debt.

From My Pictures locate ADOBE folder -- then navigate down until you find one for DIGITAL Camera -- they are by default downloaded to a folder with date and time as part of the name.

Hi,

I have Elements 3.0 Windows.

Have you checked what is happening under:
Organizer
Edit Menu
Preferences
Camera or Card Reader
(the settings there should be directing location)

If things still are resisting, try pressing Restore Default Settings there and see if that does it.

Please let me know if that all worked.
