Quick question

I have just started to make three different collages that I need done by Friday :D . I just have completely forgotten how to do something so simple. I want to put my stroke on a different layer than the picture is on and I forget how to do it :o . I guess I have been spending too much time on the forum and not enough in elements!!:o I know that I have done this tons of times in the past, but for the life of me I can't remember how I did it!!

Hi Colleen ...

Just get your selection (either use the marquee tool ... or if its around something on its own layer then Control Click on that thumbnail in the layers palette)
Create a new layer above
then Edit>Stroke .. :)

Good Morning,

My suggestion

Make selection around area where you want the Stroke to go
Create a new layer above
Make sure that the new layer is highlighted and then go Edit/Stroke/OK.

Do the same for other images, but make sure that the new layer is above and highlighted when you hit Edit/Stroke/OK.

Please let me know if that did it.

That did it! I kep trying to go to Select and click ALL, but that put the selection around the layer below it also and then I tried select>all> inverse and I got the message that no pixels were selected!

This did the trick! Thanks! Now lets see if I can keep it in my long term memory!!!:o :D :o
