I used your card cut-out mini-TUT to design a card. However, after doing the cutout section, I changed it to am embossed design. THX so much for your wonderful TUTS!!

Nita,

That is beautiful. I really like the words and aren't they so true?

Nita,
That is just lovely. I really enjoy visiting your gallery. Your work is awe inspriing to say the least. I truly admire your eye for detail. I especially like "Wedding" . And one of my favorites is "Doors". Keep up the great work.

BTW - Did you design the 2005 wall calendar or is it a template? I would love to make one like it for my sisters for christmas. Also are the circled dates holidays or family birthdays/anniversaries etc?

Karen, Wendy & Scrappygirl,

Thanks for the kind words. FYI: quote was on the back of my Mother's Sunday School bulletin on Mother's Day & it is how I feel about Mothers.

Scrappygirl, RE the calendar in my SmugMug gallery -

The photo is a scan of an original B&W I have of Mother (she's on the right) taken in 1942 during a blood drive during WWII in CA. Mother's friend & supervisor is on the left. Film star Jinx Falkenburg is in the center. Mother was chosen to give Jinx the royal tour.

The calendar was one of several designs I did for family last year. When my M-I-L rec'd a 2005 calendar the end of 2004, I scanned it, cropped the top, deleted white background (selecting white with the magic wand tool). THEN I created another layer & using a font of my choice I retyped the dates, changed colors, etc. It took FOREVER to creating a template I was happy with, but it was worth it & the calendars were a big hit.

The circled dates indicate family birthdays (red) & anniversaries (blue). The back of the calendar has DOB & DOW, along with a mini 2006 annual calendar.

I printed the calendars (2-up) on magnet sheets & the back was printed on coordinating colored stock. Lastly laminated the two sides together before cropping.
