I have a new web site www.jimknoy.com where I have uploaded a PSE4 HTML Photo Gallery set-up. I really like the way it looks except that some of the pictures are mixed up. Some of the thumbnails are switched with the enlargements. If you hit the second thumbnail, of a turtle, a pic of the Pacific coast comes up and visa versa. Any suggestions besides diving into the code? I have re-uploaded the set-up several times, but still get this error. Thanks

Jim,
What a nice gallery!!
At first it looks as if the images in the pages folder got switched because the title is the one expected from the thumbnail (the correct one). Then I came across the thumb of Prickly Poppy which loads the image and the title of the Purple Trillium. That is not consistent with the other mix ups.
Only guessing, you may have a problem with the file naming conventions. The HTML file names are generated from the file names of the images. There are spaces in those names and I know that there can be problems with that. My suggestion is to rename all image files, eliminating any spaces and to rerun the gallery. Note, there is no need to change the embedded image names (EXIF) which you had put in via File Info.

Not sure if this is involved but just to be sure when renaming eliminate any symbols that may cause computer grief in a file name such as & or * or $ or %. They should work but in some places like web sites sometimes they goof up file naming just like spaces. Stick to letters, numbers and underscores. For some reason the original design gods seem to have designed in underscores so they usually work all around.

First time I clicked the turtle - I didn't get a turtle - but was not sure what it was - later I re-read your post - re-clicked it and DID get the turtle.
I'd as the others said.
I've used it a few times and no problem - I did limit myself to about 20 shots for no particular reason.

Paul,
Apparently Jim has renamed the files as I suggested. The turtle comes up correctly now, there are, however, still some mismatches. I looked through the thumbnails and found at least two that have filenames with a space in them.

Jim, when you click on the the smokymountains2 thumbnail ,snowtrillum opens. On the left pane ( right click on a blank spot)to do a view source and you will see it points to the wrong file. When you scroll down to were it says src="../images/snowtrillum.jpg" alt= " snowtrillum"></td> .Replace snowtrillum.jpg with your smokymountains2.jpg. Be sure to do the alt tag to. You will have to do the the same thing to the the snowtrillum thumbnail also and any other thumbnail that dose not match. Hope this helps.

Jim:
That is one impressive gallery. What lovely images! They are all spectacular!!! I do see what you mean though, I clicked on one and up popped the most beautiful waterful, but that wasn't what the thumbnail was........although, it was a pleasant surprise.
Your work is just stunning!
