Deborah,

The horses are beautiful but am I seeing what I think is a fawn in the picture if so there has to be a story with it.

Deborah,

These are lovely shots and I like the different ways you have presented them.

Thank you Bayla, Norm and Vesta,
A few blocks from my friends house is a ranch with horses, This little fawn some how lost his mother and found the next best thing.
I'm not really sure.
I was glad that I had my camera in the car. I wish that I could of been closer to take better pictures.
Didn't want to disturb lunch for them.

Thank you Nancy & Garry for the kind words

I was in Cedar Rapids Iowa when I took these. I also witnessed some fantastic cloud shots as well. Still working on those.

Here's a link on some awesome photos of that day

I have never seen clouds like that - hopefully I won't see any first-hand. ;) Did they have a tornado??

The weather people said this type of cloud cover helps.
Something about the hot air reaching the cold....blah blah blah
It was a very comfortable day even after the weird cloud formation.
the whole thing lasted around 45 mins....
Isnt nature beautiful

Deb,

Frightening clouds, the last time I saw clouds like that was in January 1982 and we had 150mm (6 inches) of rain in one day and this was in the middle of our SUMMER!! The storm was not isolated but general and most of the rivers in the area were flooded. In Boyup Brook the river rose something like 10m (30 feet) . We lived at the head of a river and were not affected by flooding but we watched the farm dam rise by the second until it started over flowing :D

The clouds will add great atmosphere to other images, won't they?

OhMyGoodness.....that sounded horrible. Thank goodness you were safe from all that.

Yes...I need to really work on the clouds for background effect.

have a good day Karen
