Hot pixels and ACR

Sorry if this has been discussed, but the search function can't find any discussions on raw or hot pixels.

Does ACR automagically map out hot pixels? If so, how come I still see them on raw images from my Kodak P850 and my Pentax *ist DL? Is it a case of "it would be worse without ACR"? I use PSE3 and the latest ACR (3.4?), but until recently I'd never heard ACR would address hot pixels. If so, is it adjustable?

And I think you'll find the answer is yes - it does it automatically - but how well it does I don't know.
