I was trying to think of something where I could use my sunset pictures as a background. I've come up with the "fairies cave". It's in my gallery.

Robyn,
wonderful. You have a very good imagination.
It could be used as a cover for a myths and magic book.

Thanks Kev. It might be a tad sinister for fairies......well there are good and bad fairies!:D I kind of like the dark side in images a bit though...........

Robyn,
That is brilliant. Now you have done the image, what are you going to do with it? Did you have any idea what you would do with it when you started?

Robyn

I don't suppose I'll do anything with it Karen...........and yes, I did have a fair idea of what I wanted to do. I've got another idea along those lines too that I'm going to try out. Thanks for your positive feedback......much appreciated.

Now my daughter would LOVE that! Where did you find the fairy brushes? I was going to scan her drawings and make some for you but got sidetracked with the doctors appointments. Very cool.

Robyn that is beautiful! It also reminded me of the kind of work Jodi does. I love the colours and the way they work together. I just can't seem to do this kindo f stuff but I love it.

Pauline,

I was going to say the same thing! I saw the thumbnail on the updated galleries page & thought 'that looks like Jodie's work' and got a very pleasant surprise when I realised it was Robyn's.

Robyn, you are soooo creative. Wish I had an imagination like that. I just look at a sunset and see.......a sunset:)

Beautiful, Robyn! Not to sound like a broken record (or CD!), but from the little glimpse when you first click on galleries, I too thought that it was reminiscent of Jodie's work.

Robyn,
I think everyone has said everything already, so now I'll just have to put you in the UPPER echelon of photo imaging experts. Beautiful Photo as are so many in yourr gallery. How can you improve more than that, I don't know..Keep up the wonderful work we love seeing them, even if we all can't reach that level. :)

Thank you so much everyone. I am delighted and extremely humbled that you have likened this image to one of Jodi's. To me that is the ultimate compliment.........thank you.

Nancy...........here is the link for the fairy brushes (have to credit Wendy for the info on this link).

Ok - will do. May not be today but I'll get them scanned and see what I can do.

I go to doc on 8/8 for further tests. Nothing definite so far.

You have lots of new and wonderful work. I haven't been around the board for a while but glad I had a chance to check back. I would love to know how you do what you do. Loved the faires and will have to show my daughter that when I get home. I also loved the filters or whatever it was that you used on this one. (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/view_img.php?id=9878). The pocelyn flowers are also very well done too and the grand daughter page is also very nice.

That image is just simply 'cool beyond cool,' your work just simply amazes me !

This kind of work is another one of the reasons I'm trying to learn Elements, I just hope someday I can be even half that good ....

Thank you Mark. I haven't been learning all that long and I still have a lot to learn. You will find that once you grasp the basics you will take off and fly! :)

Just checked out your gallery.....very nice flower pics. I too have the 30D camera.

I too have the 30D camera.

How are you doing with it/liking it ?

Just got mine about 4 weeks ago (I saw your post about the 'spots', really worried me !)
Even though I put a lot of film through my old SLR, this 30D is a BIG jump from my little Canon A85 digi, and is another whole learning adventure/project !

I'm loving it :) :) :)

Ooohhh Robyn - I just got a chance to view your gallery again. What beautiful work. I love the flower with the butterfly, the fairies, William - all of them. You have a wonderful imagination and a talent that just never stops. I wouldn't know where to begin on some of your images but I love looking and trying. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks everyone for your comments. It is so uplifting to belong to this forum because everyone is so helpful and encouraging and even when a posted image is not so good, advice is always offered in a pleasant and helpful manner.....unlike some other forums (well apparently that is so - I don't visit other forums).

Mark I love my 30D, but I'm very, very inexperienced and so I'm hoping to up my skill level over the coming months and years. I have to get my camera back first though.......don't be too worried about my 'spots', I think it was just basically my ignorance in the care of changing lenses. I would imagine that it is going to come back from Canon with the verdict of "dirty sensor due to careless owner".:o

BTW – Thanks ladies for the links to the fairy brushes, I’m thinking those brushes are pretty cool –

Robyn – don’t feel too bad about the ‘dirty’ camera … mine already got micro dust all over the glass on the front of my 18 – 200 mm lens, under the standard UV filter that I use for a lens protector; I put that filter on within minutes of un-packaging all the new toys ….
I’ve been using changeable lens SLR cameras on and off since about 1968 … I have never had a camera/lens get ‘dirty’ so fast !
I think it has something to do with all the electronics and plastic creating dust collecting static ….
I’m going to study, then buy a really high quality sensor cleaning kit, cleaning the lens is easy …. I think you should be brave and do the same … it’s not hard, just go slow and careful ….

Mark

Oh, Holy Cow Robyn - That is the coolest thing - you need to write a children's book and use your fabulous creations to illustrate it!! I love the daisy one with the butterflies and the butterfly (or is it a beautiful moth) one too!! ( Not to mention your stained glass which cause me to covet them and your talents) I love looking at your gallery!! Andie
