View Full Version : PE4 crashes when importing photos from folders

Whenever I try and import files from folders (and subfolders), where there can be thousands of photos, the program crashes. Sometimes it just says it has to close & othertimes it gives an error:

Click on CANCEL to debug the program

I have 3 gigs ram, dual core processor & lots of hard drive space. This action works fine on smaller folders & subfolders.

How many photos at a time are you trying to import ?

well, one folder has 7204 photos in 41 subfolders....

Can we just recap on this ... you are talking about importing them.

Is this importing them into the organiser or are you opening them in the Editor ??

Hi ...

I'm a Mac user (and the Mac version doesn't have the organiser) so can't really help with this one ... hopefully one of the Windows users will pick up on the thread :)
