I have learned so much from this forum over the past couple of weeks:) . I downloaded some brushes from the adobe exchange last night and made my first fairy pictures. I made one of them my main image in my gallery. I hope this is the correct way to show photos. The fairy pictures are the first one and the second one.

Thanks for all of the information that you post. This forum is a great learning resource.

wow, that is really quite nice ! You did a nice job with it and I do like the B&W effect with it. Altho i admit I was a little disappointed that the thread was not of an actual photo of a fairy. Been waiting to see one for a long time...no wait, i've been waiting to take a photo of one myself for a long time. Someday..when i least expect it she will be there and i will have my camera.

Not kidding

Thanks everybody:) .

Brushes are wonderful!!! I've looked at most of the ones on adobe exchange. Does anyone know of any other places to download brushes? Alot of the ones on that site are for photoshop 7.0 or higher.

Beautiful little fairies! You did a really nice job on those. Even though most say 7.0 or hight I have been able to successfully use them in Elements 3. There are a couple I had to delete that simply would not work but I don't remember which ones. Just give them a try and instead of installing in your brush folder put them in a different folder and "load" them from that folder. If it won't work it will tell you so and you simply delete the brush from your computer so you don't try to use it again in the future.

Hi Shannon ...

Most brushes etc you will find around are done for Photoshop but the great majority do work in Elements as the brush engines are the same. You do get occasional snags that are due to the brush being created in a later version of Photoshop ... and then they are then not backward compatable.

However this happens so infrequently that its not worth bothering about ... best thing to do is just downland them, install them and most of the time they will work just fine :)
