I want to take my 12X12 scrapbook pages over to Costco to get them printed. Do they have to be in some sort of format? Can They do prints saved in PSE format or do I need to change them to JPEG? Can they do photos saved at a high compression format (?? - is that what it is called???)
In order to add photos to the bottom do I just make my canvas 12 X 18 inches and put the 12 X 12 photo at the top and the 3 4 X 6 photos at the bottom. Then cut them apart?
Thanks for your help. Andie

I've had great luck at Costco with my 12x12 layout printing. They need to be saved as a JPEG first. I do just what you suggested-make a 12x18 canvas and put a 12x12 AND 2 6X6 layouts on there and save it like that. I wait until I get a handfull of them and then burn them to a CD.They sometimes cut just a little off the edges, so I always try not to have the layouts go all the way to the edges. I have asked them not to use their color correction on them and am really happy with how they turn out. It's just a matter of personal preference. I have been really lucky so far- I have been able to drop off my disk and they're ready when I'm done shopping. I haven't tried to do it from their website yet.

Andie--my daughter does this all the time--she has a small digital scrapbooking business. She puts a 12x12 and 2-6x6's on one print layout. She usually uploads them from home to Costco and has been very pleased with their service. She mentioned something to me about them telling her when she uploads her files, she should turn off the option of having Costco do any color correction, since she uses PSE or Photoshop. When you get to know the photo personnel, it's a big advantage.

If you don't have any pictures you want to add besides your 12x12 layout, make a new 12x18 page, fill with white or whatever color you want, paste your layout onto the 12x18 page. The fill color acts as a place holder so your lo prints 12x12.

I had wonderful results with my Costco photos. For $2.99 each I got a 12X12 and 3 4X6's from each sheet. The quality was excellent - nice and crisp - and I had all 15 12X18' PRINTS IN AN HOUR! I took them home and cut them with my paper cutter and they look wonderful in my album! Thanks for all the help.

Hi friend, you do not have to print a 12 x 18 at Costco for your 12 x 12 pages. Look under enlargements and you will see that they carry a 12 X 12 print format so you do not have to take them home and cut them. I have had them print 12 x 12 for me and loaded them right into my book when I got home. Hope this helps.

I've had great luck printing at Costco. I agree that you should get to know the people at the photo desk. I order 12x18 and usually fill up the extra space with different size prints. They've even cut them for me!
