Program error in PSE3 (Mac user)

Hi. I'm new here. I was just googling and found this forum. I'm pretty frustrated with my PSE3 since I have tried searching Adobe.com for answers to no avail.

I edit a lot of photos and haven't been able to edit any for the past month and a half. Everytime I try open a file I get this error: "Could not complete your request because of a program error."

I have Mac OS 10.4.7

I've tried deleting my prefs folder and recently my thumbnail cache for pse3. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled.

Please help!

I am an Elements 3.0 Windows person, but I did find this document at http://www.adobe.com. I know that you said that you have been to that site, but did you see this and been through the list?
