Can I add my notes to a PDF file? I have handwritten my notes while watching the videos, but I would like to type them in so they are easier to read. Can this be done on a PDF?

Are you on Mac our PC .Just use Microsoft Word to type in your notes our Notepad. If your on a PC and then just keep them in folder with your PDF document you got with your lesson. Then if you want to convert to PDF there are programs to do that. I don't think you can add to a pdf document unless you buy the program to do that. Sometimes PDF documents are locked so you can't do anything with them, except save them. Hope this all makes sense. I even confuse myself sometimes.

Dennis,

I'm on a PC. That's what I thought but I wanted to ask just in case someone had a trick. I'll just keep them in a folder. Thank's for responding so quickly.

Wonderful Foxit Reader

http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php

allows you to add notes to a .pdf file. It's worth having anyway, lean and fast and with no need for installation. And free of charge.

Sonia,
thanks for the link.
I think you should put it in the Helpful Links forum too.

Sonia: Many thanks for the suggestion. I agree with Kev. I just downloaded it and it really is a very helpful little program. Another one I heard about first on this forum :) .

Two other very useful free ones for on-line tutorials are Irfanview which lets you capture screen images and save them as you go along and Cute PDFwriter that lets you print anything (including the screen image) to a PDF file (It shows up as an option in the printer selection box). With these three you can save an awful lot of paper and printer ink.
