Moire patterns

Hi all,
Just got done scanning an old family photo. Some of the clothing (pants) show a moire pattern. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

Wendy,
The directions from the About.com web site did the trick. Now the photo has a softer vintage look to it. After all,the photo is around 55 years old. Thanks from across the pond.
