I need help again....

I'm so frustrated! I've finalized the invitation but want to edit one of the text layers, but every time I click on it, it automatically creates a new text layer rather than edit the existing one. What am I doing wrong? I know it's probably something really small, but I am so aggravated.

BTW, Wendy, if you are reading this, I am still getting weird text rendering errors like I did last night, including this one when I first open the file: "Some text layers might need to be updated before they can be used for vector based output. Do you want to update these layers now?" The available buttons are: "No" and "Update."

Do you have any idea what caused this whole font/text issue?

ETA: I just recreated the whole document from scratch and don't have that problem anymore. I wonder what caused that? :confused:

Hi Maria ...

Sometimes it can be difficult to select the text again ... try it this way:

Go into the layers palette and double click on the text layer thumbnail ... that will automatically select the text and you will then be able to do your alterations :)

The font problem ... well I never did work out why it happened to me but I think it was caused when I transferred things onto the new computer.

I went into my fonts and found that I had several duplicates ... once I had resolved those and I also had to update the text layers in my images. (Just click on update and then do a save to do that) then everything worked fine.

Somehow it was looking at the font in my images, comparing it to the one it had and instead of finding the version I had used it was finding a duplicate and saying that it wasn't the same.
