Matt,
I really like your new video but you forgot to show us how to do the teeth! Maybe it's a no brainer, but I don't know how it's done. Although I think I have a brain! :D

Hi Sharon, there is one called "whiten teeth" in the subscriber videos. Is that what you were hoping for??
Wendy
July 7th, 2006, 06:43 PM
Hi Sharon ...
There are several way you can do this ... here is one:
Just create a layer above the mouth layer and call it "teeth"
choose black as your foreground colour and select a small hard brush
Switch on the grid View>Grid to use as a guide and zoom in close on your image
All you have to do to make the straight line of the tooth is:
Single click the mouse at the top of the mouth
then hold down shift and single click at the bottom of the mouth. Elements will then draw a straight line between the two points (use the grid to get the top and bottom clicks in line :) )
Just do that for each tooth line ... you can tidy it up with the eraser if you go slightly over the edge and if the effect looks too strong when you have finished then just lower the opacity of the layer. :)
Wendy
EDIT ... If you activate the mouth selection (Control Click on the layer thumbnail in the layers palette Mac Command Click) then the line will stay within the mouth.

Well. My daughter, age 7, walked by just as I was looking at the video, and thought she might like to try her hand at one. So...below is her version. I helped her pick the appropriate tools, and showed her how to use them, but she did all the actual work. After awhile, she did a great job at remembering different shortcuts, like ctrl+E, ctrl+d, & ctrl+j.
We left out a couple steps because she wanted to. And, she wanted to add a bow. And brown eyes. And no teeth. :)

Oh My it is??
The truth is at one point I never thought of it being very popular. That was until my web hostess contacted me to say how much she was relieved to see what my site was about. She went on to tell my that the only site that got, almost, as many hits as mine was a now defunct porn site. So I wasn't sure to be happy or concerned.

Hey speaking of drinking - we were I'm sure of it - I have an excellent receipe for any of you who have ever visited the TGI-Fridays chain and love thier Jack Daniels sauce. I found a copycat recipe that is EXACT! I know cause that's what we had for dinner tonight - sesame chicken tenders in Jack Daniels dipping sauce. It was SOOOOO good! It works great for shrimp, as a basting sauce on grilled meats, just about anything. By the way - I love licking the bowl too.:p :D Anyone want it check it out here:

A while back we had a huge Rib-fest a few miles from here. Both the number of contestants and the ribs were huge. One of the booths/contestants was the Jack Daniel's team... yup all the way from Tennessee. The had a special sauce made from Jack. Also, just before you got your ribs they asked you if you wanted the SPECIAL special sauce. Of course I said OK and they spritzed the ribs with Jack right out of the bottle. Man it sure made a man really enjoy licking his fingers!

My daughter's boyfriend was so thrilled when I handed him the picture. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out. He had his 5 year old niece with him and she really started laughing when she saw it and calling him Uncle Egghead. He's a great kid and just said today that he even refuses to buy cigarettes for his Mother because he wants her to quit smoking and he also doesn't want anyone to think he does!! Why Jodi, that would be Lake Simcoe you are seeing!! A mere 5 minute drive from here!! We get all kinds of tourists hanging out there!! All those city folk that come up from Toronto!!
Nancy, my guy isn't cool, he's hot! Didn't you notice those beads of sweat? :D Your second guy is just too creepy.........just looking at him gives me the heeby cheebies!!!
Sharon, you hot chick would do great with my guy. I think there's room on the beach towel!! This was really fun to play around with.

Tom my tastes go from one extreme to the other. I like ps work that doesn't look like it was done in ps but I also like the whacky surreal type stuff. It's a lot of fun to do. I just wish I had a better imagination and could say the idea was mine and not something I had seen before.

Dorrie, love those nostrils ! :)
I was busy burning brush on our land the past couple of days and I see this smilie thing is still alive and well.
PS, we really should acknowledge Dave's fine shadow tutorial....He makes it look so easy doesn't he ? And again that last little part with his gorgeous face on the wall just made it perfect :D I like that photo he took. Makes me want to run out and look for a wall and door to photograph. Now that would be a nice Photo Challenge topic wouldn't it ??

Jodie,
I agree. Suggest it to Will, he seems to be running out of ideas for the Photo Theme! Maybe he could do 'Doors' one week & 'Windows' another?
