Dear all, I'm using PSE v4.0 and would like to take and manipulate some high key portraite images.

I have an opportunity to work with a make up artist on a TFP basis. The style she is looking for is high detail around the models lips and eyes emphasising this by bleaching out skin tones. I'm likey to shoot in daylight but would appreciate some ideas around how to manipulate these in PSE 4 any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Hi ...

Here is a link to a tutorial ... step 2 just use levels instead of cuves OR if you are using PSE3 then you can download Grant's tool set which has curves in it.

Here is the link for the tut:

Do let us know how you go on with it :)

Hi Nikonuser,

I remembered saving this link

& wondered if it was the sort of thing you were looking for?

Hi Bayla ...

Oh that was the one I was looking for, I knew that TomM had posted it on the forum but I couldn't find it anywhere :)

I have now bookmarked it ..

two different ways here:

pseudo hi-key images (http://www.graficalicus.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=229) (you'll want this free action pack (http://www.graficalicus.com/downloadbasket/details.php?image_id=120) to help with this technique- windows auto-install/Mac manual install)

High Key Images with Photoshop/Elements (http://www.graficalicus.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=135)
