Bob it's very pretty, but it just depends on what sort of look you are wanting. If you are after a more traditional stained glass look I would make the leading less transparent and perhaps tone the background (not the flower) down in colour or transparency so there is more of a contrast between the lead and the glass. If you chose to lessen the transparency put a plain white layer underneath the glass. Give it a try.......it may not work, but the undo button is always useful. :D

Hi Robyn. thats anouther thing. if i dont have natural color under the glass the glass will not distort. i am after the colors like you use. soft pastels, the gradts.... i am still trying find the look i want to make.:) thanks

Bob I don't know how you are actually doing your glass but this is Wendy's method which I always use if I'm just wanting some nice plain glass.
Create a new image 1000 x 1000 pixels.
Set default colour (press D)
Cloud render
Motion blur 43 degrees......distance 220
Ocean ripple size 8 magnitude 18
Levels......drag the white slide in until the image looks okay.
Then all you have to do is add a hue/saturation layer (tick the colorize button and adjust the sliders to where you want) to colour it and you then have the option here to make it lighter or darker and less/more saturated.
You could still lower the opacity as I suggested if you want, but it shouldn't be necessary.

Bob, I love the effect. I have not really tried the stain glass yet. My only concern is your center covers your flower. Is there a way to make 4 flowers? One for each opening. Then your center work would stand on it's own.
