I have a 500 picture slide show in Photoshop Elements that I am trying to burn to DVD via Premiere Elements. I received a funny msg last night when I tried to burn the slideshow to DVD and the resulting DVD wasn't readable.

btw - I am a new PE user and have never successfulled burned a DVD using PE.

Tonight I tried burning the slide show to a file. I used the "Add Media" button to open the slide show and then I added it to the timeline. Next I burned it to a file. It took about 90 minutes to complete the first step and only a few minutes to "compile media". It was "burning to folder" for a minute or so when I received the following error message:

"The data rate of this file is too high for DVD. You must replace the file with one of a lower rate - PGC Info, name=,ref=,Apgc, time=00:11:37:24"

Any pointers?

Hi Bob
I am sorry I can't help you on this - just wanted to let you know that there are a few people very knowledgeable in the Premier area and I hope they pick up your question soon. :)
