"Puffy" affect

I posted this question in the scrapbooking area, but haven't had any "takers", so will post it here, where it probably more properly belongs. I created this "quilt" collage, and am wondering if anyone can suggest how to make the individual diamond shapes appear puffier. I did use a pillow bevel on each one, but that didn't really do it for me. Thanks for any help.

Look in your layers palette and click on the little(f) at the side of the layers that have the bevel on them ... another box will pop up and your should be able to increase the bevel size in there.
