It seems that more often than otherwise, problems are solved by "simply" resetting the preferences. But many users are having trouble acheiving this. It would be nice of Adobe to include a Reset Preferences Utility, sitting next to the application itself, in the same folder.

Ray,
Yes, this would help, although for some reason the instructions posted are to start PSE3 then quickly hold the SHIFT-CTRL-ALT keys... It's much easier to hold the keys down THEN start Elements...
Having said that I do agree with you a "Reset Preferences" buttonmay be more helpful...

This is just to say, Adobe is very open about its product... there's always several ways of acheiving something :)

I once asked why there wasn't a button to delete the prefs ... and someone from Adobe replied that it wasn't possible to do it. I suppose its due to having to close Elements before you can do it ...

I understand the concept (being myself a programer), that's why I'm suggesting they include a utility that'll run outside the application itself. Much easier this way. I think..

Ray,
Much more sensible but ... It wouldn't be as much fun :) :)
