That is great Deedee, which course are you taking? I am half way through the layers course and am having no trouble following the instructions.

Wow thanks! I hadn't been finding a lot of Premiere Elements stuff online, that is greatly appreciated.

It seems like in general there is just not as much interest in this product, is that true?

It would be very cool if there was a tutorial working with a specific movie file that the students would download and work with for 21 days. Without that hands on with the same clip I don't know how well I can learn. I am only on watching day 4 but I am a bit confused. Maybe it will clear up by the end.

I don't have a camcorder, here is what I want to do. I want to take tv shows I have on my computer and make music videos out of them, specifically Xena. So I have the whole series on my computer and want to edit out scenes from variou episodes and put them into sync with one song. This is just for my personal enjoyment, so please no copyright lessons (though at the Xena conventions they actually allow fans to show their videos but I wouldn't be caught dead at a Xena convention)

Hmm no comments. I think I am spoiled by the PSE enthusiasm.

Are there any plans for any future tutorials working with specific projects? I just don't think that slow me is going get much out of this one other than what tools are called, it isn't hands-on enough. I am a slow learner.

Premiere Elements 2 In A Snap is a great book and would help you out a lot. Also, the Adobe User to User forum is much more active. Also check out the articles at http://www.videoinasnap.com

It doesn't matter if you have a camcorder or not, once you have the video clips in a Premiere Elements project the process of editing is all the same ;)

Thanks Chuck. I do appreciate the help. I guess I am feeling a bit intimidated by the program. I am going to finish this online class and then jump into some books.
