My video will not return to main menu between scenes when I play it on the T.V. but it would do it on the preview. When I burned it to the DVD it will not return to the main menu on the computer or T.V. It will play continuoslywith no problem but that is not what I want it to do.
I used Sonic. It is the version that came on the computer. Do I need to upgrade or should I be able to do this on the basic edition?
Thanks

What version are you using?

I use PrEl2, and it does not return to the menu after jumping to a scene via a Scenes Menu button. I understand that this is normal, based on the program's feature set.

I'm using the same thing. I got it because I thought it was a better program. So, can I reinstall prel 1 and add my video program to that? I have put in alot of hours making this thing and then it not work like it is supposed to. Could I just use Main Menu Markers instead of scene markers? Would that fix the problem?
Thanks

Donna,

I believe that the project files are NOT backward compatible from v2 to v1. Of course, you could re-use the video files, but I think you are asking about the .prel file.

You can send the veiwer back to the Main Menu by placing a Stop marker on the timeline, so you could use Main Menu markers to emulate Scene markers. I don't know how many of these markers you are thinking of using, but it probably won't take too long for your Main Menu to become saturated. Maybe you could design your own template if you have PSE4?

Byron,
I have 17 scene markers in now. I thought about the main menu markers but didn't know if it could do that many. I have PSE3. I'm not that good with either of these programs. I am thinking i should have stuck with prel 1. I still have it so i guess i can save the files and open them in prel 1. Seens to me like i wasted alot of money for nothing.
